The author is on the right, and on the left is grandson Tyler Forrest in his Elton John glasses and monkey buddy.  All are out enjoying a day in the sun while taking pictures for  the “Find A Grave” organization.

Whit Gentry, retired, lives in Mt. Vernon, Texas with his bride of twenty four years, Becky.  He is a native of Texas and Becky is a native of Brevard, North Carolina.  Whit graduated from Hooks High School, 1962; BS East Texas State University, 1967; MS Air Force Institute of Technology, Ohio, 1973.  He retired from the US Air Force as a Lt. Colonel.  He worked thirteen years for Bradner National Paper in Dallas and retired after being President of the company for eleven years.

Writing has become a relaxing, entertaining, and rewarding part of retired life.  A side benefit to writing has been the gift of making new friends that are writers and renewing old friendships.
